Shirtless Nikolaj Coster-Waldau made his acting debut as Laertes in Hamlet at the Betty Nansen Theater in Copenhagen. His US film debut was in critically acclaimed, Oscar-winning Black Hawk Down. Although his role was small it opened doors to further acting opportunities in other major films such as; Kingdom of Heaven, and Firewall , which starred Harrison Ford.
Coster-Waldau has a role in the new adventure/fantasy series Game of Thrones. The show premiered on April 17, 2011.
