Bio: Visnjic’s hobbies are fencing, swimming, and diving. He talks about his accent saying, “Making my English better is a hard job, a slow job. But it’s getting better. Three years ago it would have taken me a half hour to say this sentence.”
Visnjic’s breakthrough role was as Risto, the Bosnian driver in Welcome to Sarajevo. This got the attention of Jack Orman and he was offer the role of the then unnamed doctor who would replace the George Clooney on ER. Visnjic joined ER in the sixth season in late 1999, eventually becoming the show’s male lead in mid-season 11. Visnjic made a series of appearances in season 14 before leaving the show early in season 15, ending his 9 year run on the medical drama.
Visnjic co-starred in The Deep End, voice-acted in Ice Age, and starred in Posljednja volja and Doctor Sleep. He appeared with Jennifer Garner in the movie Elektra. Visnjic is also appearing alongside Carla Gugino in a segment of the film New York, I Love You.
