In 2005 Brown made his recording debut at the age of 16. The hit single “Run It!”, was featured on the album and it topped the Billboard Hot 100, making Brown the first male artist to have his debut single to top the chart. The album has sold over two million copies in the United States alone and was certified double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2007 Brown released his next album, Exclusive. “With You”, peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Brown then released a deluxe version of his album called the The Forever Edition. The first single from it, “Forever”, was released in May 2008 and reached number two on Billboard Hot 100 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA.
In addition to his music career, Brown has done some acting as well. He had a small role in Stomp the Yard in 2007, and the main role in This Christmas also in 2007. In 2008 he he was a guest star in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and in 2009 he was in Blood Roques.
