At the age of 23 Bear Grylls achieved his childhood dream of climbing Mt. Everest and set a record as the youngest Briton to reach the summit. Adventurer, author, and motivational speaker, Grylls may be best known as the host of Man vs. Wild.
Among his many adventures, Grylls led the first team to circumnavigate the UK on a personal watercraft to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. In 2003 he led a team of five on the first unassisted crossing of the north Atlantic Arctic Ocean in an open rigid inflatable boat. Additionally, Grylls rowed naked for 22 miles in a homemade bath tub to raise money for a friend who lost his legs in a climbing accident.
